Headless Harvest
Bounce about as a headless scarecrow. Come to life at night and harvest as much wheat as you can before the day turns you back into a lifeless stick. Spook some crows before they eat your crops. Adorn a pumpkin and truly make some gRains.
Effectively, the traveling salesman problem in a mini game. Navigate the field and manage your time, or else you won't have anything to show for your efforts by the end of it.
This was my first time working with Godot, and while I'm very happy with the results, I know there is a lot I could have done better. To be transparent, there is a know issue of stuttering when loading large groups of nodes. It works okay in the browser, but the downloadable version plays much better. I've yet to fully design an approach to object pooling + yield animations which sent me on a rather large tangent of eventually wasted effort for this time sensitive October 2023 Godot Wild Jam.
